hey Fred! That picture was actually from last winter when I took the caveman look to heart, but it's still on of my favorites. Things are going very well, I just graduated this December and am looking forward to all the extra time. I've picked up some recording equipment (just a couple SM57s and a Tascam us-1641 interface) and have a couple people really interested in letting me gain some experience and record them, and I'm stoked to finally have the time to do it. How have the other recording classes been going? I'd love to send you some tracks I've cut sometime and get your input if your not too busy.
Ya. I will for sure give you a call. The name came from one night on Bozeman pass. My girlfriend and I missed the first two bears but ran over the third (dead) in the road. We were on my bike at the time. We actually jumped and rode out of it. If my buddies weren't there, no one would ever believe me. My friend Faron dubbed me Threebears. Looking forward to talking with you.
Hey Mr. Baker. I noticed you're a experienced engineer. I have a chance to get a tune on a soundtrack through my connection at Dreamworks studios. I have three songs to submit. My 8 track digital tascam is not producing the sound I need. I would like to find someone with your background to help me. I really like that vintage analog/tube driven sound everyone is trying to re-create. Hope to hear from ya.

Hi Fred! Thanks for your comment. Not to worry, if you click on a link that is no longer there, you can rest assured that it was a spam profile that the admins have zapped from existence in the name of a safe and fun MM experience for our amazing members like you!
Yeah, I went to Belmont University for 3 semesters but it was pretty tight financially. Now I am going to MSU. I played with some killer musicians down there and learned a thing or two...haha. Now my main interest is my band. We are doing alright. Were almost done with a 4 song EP and have been doing all of our own recordings.
Actually, I will be in Gardiner this summer working at the Flying Pig again. I'd love to check out your studio sometime, or even help out now and then if you needed a hand.
Thanks for hosting the HC for us. We had a great time too! We ran into MacNiel on Saturday night in Bozeman. Thanks to you, we now have new fans! I look forward to sitting down for some Dickel and talking compression!
All the best, Russ
Fred, thank-you SO much for opening your home to us for such a awesome intimate evening, met many great people 3 of which were at our show at Ale Works last night, thanks again, Ashly

I remember those days well (I lived in Gardiner for a few years, early 80's)
