Friday the 13th? Don't think there's one of those for a few months. I'm stuck at work anyways. If I would have gotten your message earlier I would have headed over there.
Actually George it is Rocktron Egnater 50 watt head going through a old crate 4 x12 cabinet with celestion green backs ( 35 Watt speakers). Darn thing rocks. I also use a old Alesis midiverb through the effects loop for delays at such, along with a old MXR distortion pedal for boosts. I only use this rig in the studio now. Live I have been using a POD floor model into the PA with a vary LARGE monitor next to me. Keeps stage volumes down in the clubs. Thanks for asking !
the open mic at the dollar has been intense. We're filling the list every time. i watched the game last night but it wasn't any good. That's cool you're getting a melody maker. I'm going to have scott gibson fix one of my old guitars this week. I believe brian's band is playing Saturday, but i'm not 100%. People are having trouble with those emails he sends.
Thanks for the comment, George. I feel Clapton is kind of like Chuck Berry and to a less exent, Scotty Moore (I still list Scotty as a great) in that the influence he had on guitar music was great. Some of his best stuff was with Cream, don't you think? He had a great influence, same as Chet Atkins and Ma Carter. But as far as being good, I watch YouTube clips with Eric playing next to Knopfler
and there's not much comparison. His close friends say Eric's biggest problem is that he just doesn't work at it, he's lazy. Hey, I wish I had his problem, what'a ya think?
Thanks George. Yup it's a 3/4 ton '57 Chevy pickup - I've got a song about it called Environmental Muscle Truck - kind of a fantasy song.
I was looking at your profile and the band name Nine Inch Toenails just about killed me! Thanks for the early morning laugh.
What a comment George...I am rollin on the floor over here! Haven't robbed a train in years! But if this unemployment runs out soon I might have to take it up again...hehehe! Thanks for the visit bud.
