Here's a quick overview about what I play and who with...
I'm a 6th generation of Bozeman, I'm now residing in England in the London area. Looking forward to moving back home again in the near future.
I'm, at this time, a 'one man band'. I produce all my own backing instrument and vocal tracks on my songs, on 8 tracks, here at home in the U.K.
I was the founder of the band called "Montana" back in 1977, before I passed the 'name' on to one of the former members R.I P. of ( at that time ), Mission Mountain Wood Band. Long story.
The music over here in the U.K is tremendous! Lots of good variety. Some of the acts on this website would "bring the house down" here in London!! Especially The Clintons, ( who bring about a London-ish, unique, fun quality ), that these "Mad Dogs & Englishmen & Women here in the 'Kingdom' flock to see. There's a wonderful music forum here!
Music is truely the "flower" of our feelings...

A big Thank You Amigos & Amigas

Just want to say thank you to all my music mates for all the wonderful compliments & feedback on my songs that I recently uploaded. It does a 'closet musician' such as myself, good to know that I'm placing 'notes' in some of the right places anyway. Appreciation is what it's all about to any artist. :O) The song, "The Break up of Bill & Judy" seems to get alot of compliments. Actually, that was the very first song I ever wrote, 1970 vintage, true story..... & "Lookin' for Direction",… Continue

A tribute

Just wrote & recorded a song entitled, "Looking for Direction". Dedicated to all my fellow Firefighters. The Smokejumpers, the Hazard Tree Fallers, and all my Wildland Fire Engine & Helicopter Crew Mates. This is especially for the "World Class Blackfeet Indian Ground-pounders". 'They', and all other ground crews, are the ones who actually "put out" the fires. 'Joe Still-Smoking' & his cousin 'Janice' are Crew Bosses on fire missions. This is for all those who take extreme chances fo… Continue

Hello James , Whao !!!!!! Great info!!!!!! I played drums with Pete, Smokey, and the Nebel sisters, Peggy and Janet, not sure when,.... in the basement of the Bozeman Hotel when some wierd docter. owned it. It was a dump. We had band,... short lived...... wonder what happened to Smokey, Pete, and Peggy. I believe Janet passed away in the parking lot of Heeb's grocery....... I played "Wipe Out" and "Louie, Lou eye" alot in that band..... A band named "The Exiles" does that ring a bell ???? I think I remember that band name...... Monte Shadone?????? NE way give me a call, if you want. Oh, by the way I do have a day job. Check out BigSkyStainedGlass, or David Fjeld. Your Friend in music and "pulling up the past". David Fjeld

That's when I said, I wanna' do this rock'n'roll stuff....... cool!!!!! NE way, I am trying to put together a history of bands in Bozeman. You would be a great resource, Ritchy Secor [Rich and the Poor Boys, Sgt. Rock] is comming down here for party at my house, in the next few months, and I want to find out what was the first band to form here..... probably started after we all saw the Beatles on Ed Sullivan Show that fatefull Sun. night in 64' or 65'. Ne way can't say all that I want here, but, you can call me, 406-586-6016, I have a lot of ??????? Your Friend, in Bozeman, and music, David Fjeld.... PS. Sgt. Rock disbanded 4 years ago, had great party, 1500 people there, with alot of old members and recent members, old and new fans.. It was a great 25 year, final farewell ????? salute.
