"Right on, I'll post some up. I just need to get some more instruments into the mix. Gonna go jam with Jay today so I will probably come out with at least one song with drums."

Another tune

Wrote a pretty awesome tune (guitar part anyway). It's in 3:4 time and it's kind of a ballad about a misfit kid who lived fast and died young, wore a leather jacket, and probably rode a motorcycle. I haven't got all the words yet so we'll see where it goes.

"I've never been to Twin Bridges in my life. I was actually talking to a bassist I connected with through Craigslist down in Sheridan, though. I'll keep your offer in mind but the gas money might be the hard part. Otherwise i'd be down."

Two songs on the old 4-track

Just put two songs down on the 4-track! And they rock! One is a cover of "Sick Boys" by Social D; the other is one I wrote called "Prison Song". It's a good ol' American tune about your woman running off with someone else so you shoot them both and go to jail. Now I just gotta see if Jay will do some drum mastery and keep my fingers crossed for a bassist to appear (hint hint).See More

Profile Information

My Montana Area
Butte Area
Music categories I best fit into...
guitar, electric guitar, singer, songwriter
Here's a quick overview about what I play and who with...
I play mostly punk guitar with some influences in "roots rock" (Americana, rockabilly, etc.) and a tinge of hair metal. I am a decent singer and I like to write songs.

Right now I play solo or jam with some friends, but no band. Hopefully that will change soon!

I should note that I have experience playing with a band live. I haven't toured the USA or released an album or anything, but I have written a half-hour set of all originals and played it on stages in front of actual people on a few occasions.

Looking for Musicians

I've been working on writing some songs and I'd love to start a band. The direction I think I want to go in is kind of a "cowboy punk" feel, like Social Distortion or maybe Johnny Cash on speed. I've been writing and recording with the very capable Jay Gray, who has other band commitments and is unfortunately leaving the Butte area next fall.

I sing and play guitar so I'm looking first and foremost for a drummer and bassist. Another guitar would be welcome. A dedicated lead singer would be cool too but you'd obviously have to be better than I am (I'm not like the ultimate greatest or anything so it's not that it would be terribly difficult) to make it worth it. All others, no experience really necessary.

Like I said, I'm constantly writing music so if you like the songs I have, cool. Instant band: just add musicians. I'm also open to collaborative songwriting, too, though so if you want to get in on the creative process that's cool as long as you're not into something totally incompatible.

I'm actually going to be in Alaska all summer but I will be back in August and I want to get seriously down to brass tacks then. But please don't hesitate to contact me before then if you're interested.
