Hi! Wishing you a great day! My name is Gina Alto and I started singing in music at the age of four, as a youngster growing up in rural Montana. My singing skills have been influenced by such musical greats as: Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette, Linda Ronstadt, Emmy Lou Harris, as well as Celine Dion, Barbara Streisand and many others.
I have performed throughout the Pacific Northwest in diverse venues; from small intimate coffee houses to major casinos and niteclubs. My vocal skill lends itself to many different styles. From country, big band. jazz, folk, and classic contemporary popular music. I studied music composition and theory in high school, and private study. Voice and performance was my major endeavor. I also learned from many fine teachers and musicians I have performed with. I hope to finish my college degree in music after my two kids have grown. I have two lovely twin daughters, named: Alia and Kara, who I might add sing like a couple of bluebirds! Being a mother, I feel is my greatest calling. Until then I enjoy working with bands and accomplished musicians.
I have two country albums to my credit. One album is titled: Visions which was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee, and exhibits my style in a very traditional country genre. Hank Williams and Patsy have inspired me. I like going back to the roots of good country music! My newest album is titled: Gina Alto in Song. I feel this one displays my musical skills and performance ability. It's my finest work! The album was also recorded in Nashville, at Gene Breeden Studios. On this album is five original songs written by my mother, who taught me so much and other writers, musicians and production people. I am presently putting together a duo with a fine songwriter and musician who is a close friend as well. I hope to do another album this year!
