Brian, I do play drums; yet my influences don't revolve much around pop punk. I play classic rock beats and have been influenced by the likes of pop rock, grunge, jazz/blues, alternative rock, and marching snare. So, I would like to maybe come…

We are looking for a drummer for our band. We're actually just starting out together (2 of us have been playing together for a few years, the third just came to his first practice). It's kind of tough to say exactly what we're going to be playing long-term, but the songs we have right now fall into the punk category. Not so much hardcore punk, more on the folk/poppy punk side of things (Lagwagon, Against Me!, The Loved Ones, Blink 182).
There are currently 3 of us: 2 guitarists and me on bass. I'm actually a drummer who happens to be playing bass because I'm into the singing thing right now and I cannot seem to play drums and sing at the same time. Anyhow, we will probably stick with punk & alt-rock. There may be a heavier rock song in there from time to time, but no death metal.
I have a 7 piece Yamaha Birch Custom kit with Zildjian cymbals that's set up in the practice space so you won't need to be toting your drums around at all (unless you don't want to play mine) -
If you're still looking for a band, please let me know. Email me at sendmeyourspam@yahoo.com. I just noticed that Threebears/David is on your friends list -- he's the guitarist that just joined us last practice...
