My Montana Area
Bozeman Area
Music categories I best fit into...
guitar, lead guitar, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, singer, songwriter
Here's a quick overview about what I play and who with...
I'm a Rock and budding Jazz player. Most of my experience comes from 20 years of Rock Cover band experience. Currently I'm in original music projects and digging the Funk Jazz Jam thing with Nine and Zen. I'm currently developing a new "High Talent/Maximum Fun" Bar band for the Bozo area.

Open minded, not a drug user, not afraid to play the whole range of genres, I'm serious about getting it right.

A Lesson learned

A short story about a recent adventure I had buying a guitar.

About a year and a half ago I was in Missoula. I stepped into a music store and played a black Gretsch Duo Jet Electromatic. Since I'd never played one before I enjoyed getting my hands on something new. I really liked the neck and loved the tone. It seemed like a leaner Les Paul. The neck was fabulous, and I really loved the dual cutaway and bigsby bridge. Then I looked at the price tag. It was half the cost of my "pro"… Continue

Hey Bill,
not yet...I'll be home in April. I think I will post a thread in the forum for Missoula area musicians now, however. Its never too early to network and see if I can jump right into something when I get back. I hope all is well and you had a great Christmas. Best to the family -J

Yeah, I forget that most people don't like to geek out about internet marketing/strategy and if I've had too much coffee..well.

But anyway, if you want the CSS for MM to experiment with I can send it over. It took a lot of messing around for us to get it just right. But you're probably a heck of a lot better at CSS.

Um, I'm the seo, functionality, infrastructure, strategist, hacker guy. So with that in mind, skinning all the sites is a team effort. He does all graphic design and art direction and is great with ideas. We both do some booking for MV Live, we both write some articles, come up with community building ideas and do overall maintenance. Two months in and we're absolutely killing it in the search traffic arena for musicvilla.com. So future strategies will probably revolve around that as far as converting this whole internet campaign to additional business. MM is really just for building camaraderie within the Montana musicians community and not directly in the plan for directly driving business. Little more than what you were asking but, yes, this is indeed a fun project for us.
