Montana Musicians

I think we can all agree that music came to a head in the 1960's. With the birth of rock and roll in the post WWII 50's, a new breed of musician was born. The teens who grew up on this revolutionary music created the counter culture. But why? Why were there so many talented artists in that eara that made the world what it is today? Is it cyclical? Will this happen again? Or has the music industry been so completely taken over by American Idol and the Disney channel that all hope for pure creativity will only be found on sites like this?

no no no, it all started with JFK. He tells Cronkite in a TV interview that the Vietnam conflict is not our war it's theirs. He then signs National Securiy Action Memorandum #263 which planned to get all the troops out of Nam by 65. The CIA had been seting up the war sicne WWII, so they blow his head apart in Dallas and the people are so shaken up by it they begin to question their government. This leads to widespread revolution. Meanwhile, the CIA releases LSD onto the public because they found no use for it. Sargent Peppers Lonley Hearts Club Band.....The Doors Miami incident....Wood Stock....Altemont....and the final nail in the coffin, the Manson murders.
I forgot about Altemont. Damn hells angels. All they had to do was not KILL anyone!
I am not aware of this? What do you speek of fellow Eden evictee?

You can't go wrong with acid rock
You only speak the truth, oh wise one
Aha that's a big difference :)
Why were the 60's so monumental? Two albums.
The Mothers of Invention-Freak Out! (1966)
Captain Beefheart-Trout Mask Replica (1969)
And LSD was cool to.
The Consolation of Philosophy says that a blind goddess spins our wheel of luck and that luck comes in cycles. This luck maybe started with Montery Pop, peaked at Woodstock, and ended at Altamont. I just heard an interview where someone asked "Will music ever be that good again?" and a music professor said "Well..... no."
Terence McKenna's time wave zero.....
