Montana Musicians

Okay I finally gave in, being a drummer and all, I thought I might as well do a top 10 drummers post. Actually, list off as many as you want, I frankly think there are too many out there to be just 10. Remember, it's not a competition, it's a matter of personal preference. Site specific works that you found interesting.

1. Abe Cunningham - Deftones (Saturday Night Wrist, White Pony)
2. Danny Carey - Tool (Lateralus, Salival live tracks)
3. Stewart Copeland - The Police/Independent (all works)
4. Morgan Agren - Frederik Thordendal's (Special Defects)
5. John Bonham - Led Zeppelin (all works)
6. Chad Smith - Red Hot Chili Peppers (Blood Sugar Sex Magik)
7. Blake Richardson - Between the Buried and Me (Colors)
8. Martin Lopez - Opeth (Still Life, Blackwater Park, Deliverance, Damnation)
9. Dave Krusen - Pearl Jam (Ten)
10. Dave Grohl - Nirvana (Nevermind, In Utero)

I used to watch John in Minneapolis what a bad ass.
Haha I watch his DVD from MDF at least once a week
Dave Grohl has got to be in every list in my opinion. Check out the solo intro on Song for the Dead off of Queens of the Stone Age's 2nd album "Songs for the Deaf". You also need to put Raymond Herrera of Fear Factory up there. The guy is pretty much a computer when it comes to drumming. And of course Chris Adler of Lamb of God. These aren't in any particular order.
Top ten of all time? Check the list of lifetime achievers... or my list looks something like; (not necessarily in order)

1. Bozzio
2. Weckl, Dave
3. Chambers, Dennis
4. Minneman Marco
5. Jones, Elvin
6. Bonham, Bonzo
7. Bellson, Louis
8. Rich, Buddy
9. Hayward, Richie
10. Brown, Duke (personal favorite)
11. all the other greats I forgot to list (yeah, my list goes to eleven)
i'm guessing no one here has heard of Tre Cool.
only the greatest punk rock drummer of the 90's if not all time
he's green days drummer so look them up
Don't forget Carter Bufford(Dave Mathews Band), 'Drive in Drive out', live at red Rocks.
I know some of these have already been mentioned but they're still awesome

in no particular order:

Mike Portnoy - LTE and DT
Neil Peart - Rush
Derek Roddy
Vinnie Paul - Pantera/Damageplan/Hellyeah
Chad Smith - RHCP and Chickenfoot
Jaska Raatikainen - Children of Bodom
Travis Smith - Trivium
Dominic James Howard - Muse

Not 10 but they are good ^^
Chickenfoot? Is that Chad's side project or something?
Chickenfoot also has Satch and Sammy Hagar if I'm not mistaken.
