Montana Musicians

I am looking to book our duo, Chuck 'n' Charlie. We play honky tonk, southern rock, Merle, Johnny, Kristofferson, FreeBird!!, you know ... fun music. Based in Big Sky/ Bozeman, I'd like to find lots of gigs for the summer. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Chuck, You might want to put it in high gear. I started looking for gigs about a month ago and so many places book so far ahead that I ended up with one in July and 3 in August. You might try various towns chamber of commerce to see what's coming up and just to get your name out there. It really helps to have a demo to send which shouldn't be a problem for you. I've also had folks look up my page on this site:) Tammie
We will have to talk about singing, playing, music... what kind of a band backs you up now?
I don't really think of myself as a front person:) But I have played with my brother and husband in various combinations of acoustic music. And with an Americana string band called Prairie Rose. I also do some solo gigs if they're available. I tend to side towards Country or softer Rock or Blues when by myself. But I'm working on improving electric bass to back up my sons who are more interested in Rock. I've always been a singer with a guitar who's now working on improvement as a musician with fiddle, dobro, and bass. So I have no problem backing other folks up. If you ever get to listen to Johnny Rawls I have some back up vocals on his latest CD Red Caddilac. Tammie
