I thought if anywhere this would be a great place to start a discussion on who will take over the Bass Bash. The BBB was started in the 90's by Galen McAlister a local bassist. It's been a great event for 15 years running now. I must step aside and can not continue to organize and direct the event. I am however available (email is best) to answer questions and assist as I can to anyone who wants to take over. Let me tell you that it does take some time, a particular skill set and some dedication. The pay off is pretty great though, think of it. Over they years I’ve got to know many of the top bass players in the country, I have forged some real friendships and had the opportunity to play with most all of them. If you want to be a "player" it’s a big step in the right direction as networking and people skills are just as important as you knowledge of the force…..aaahhh I mean music. Anyhow there…consider the discussion started.
